I’m going to start by warning you about my winter mantel. It’s…well…
…decidedly NOT wintry!
It’s not that I don’t like winter.
I do, actually. I love our rare Southern snowfalls, hot chocolate by the fire, scarves and mittens, and thick, fluffy socks.
But, as I explained in this post, I much prefer bright colors to tame neutrals (despite the paint color in my living room, which will change soon!). In fact, more accurately, I like to mix bright colors with neutrals.
I found these at a consignment store for $10 for all three!

So that, even when the trees are bare outside and the flowers are gone, it’s bright and sunny inside.
And I can think about how spring is just around the corner.
