Day 17, Thirty Days of Gratitude: It Takes a Village (of Bloggers)

November 17, 2012 By Karen Cooper 1 Comment

When I started this blog, I knew that there were other like-minded bloggers out there – bloggers who do home improvement, DIY-type stuff.  But I had no idea that there was an entire community of amazing bloggers who support and help each other.

Today (and all other days), I am thankful for the supportive blogging community I am lucky to have joined.
Yesterday, my friend Brenda was featured on Zillow for her beautiful kitchen renovation using paint and some elbow grease.  Here is the link for that post.  She did an excellent job transforming her kitchen into a beautiful space.  Yet, for some reason, some people never learned that, if you cannot say anything nice, you shouldn’t say anything at all, and they said some mean things in the comments after the post.
Blogger community to the rescue.  After hearing about this, our blogging community went over to the site and left positive, honest comments about what a terrific job she did.  Drowned out the negative with the positive.  I love that.
We have each other’s back.
When I started blogging, I was clueless.  I just thought I could start writing and everything would take care of itself.  Through joining a community of bloggers, I have learned so much about blogging, doing projects and showcasing them, and technical information, too.  I have also seen amazing projects and gotten good ideas and advice for my own projects.
I am so grateful for this supportive and talented community.
Thank you for stopping by!  Happy Saturday!

Definitely something to be grateful for! You are a huge part of that support system too and are always one of the first to leave nice comments and offer support.
