The Friday Five: Five Super Party Ideas for the Big Game

February 5, 2016 By Karen Cooper 2 Comments

The Big Game on Sunday (you know the one!) is almost here! I thought, in honor of Sunday’s clash of the Broncos v. the Panthers, I’d share five SUPER party ideas for the big game! (See what I did there? Anyway…) Whether you are hosting a party or just hanging out with your family or friends to watch, these party ideas will have you cheering!

(1) Big Game Table Decorations

First, before the first hot wing or nacho is served, you need to set up the table. I love this DIY football field runner from The Logbook:

You can also use your kids’ or grandkids’ toys for a fun football tablescape, like Bargain Decorating with Laurie did:

I love the taco server shaped like a stadium!

(2) Game Day Crafts

These DIY football glasses from C’mon Get Crafty are perfect for the big game:

These cute football printables from Organized Island would be great for name tags or food labels.

(3) Game Day FOOD!

Now that the table is set, it’s time for the food!

This Team Colors Popcorn Snack Mix from Atta Girl Says looks yummy, even if it is in Panther blue (can you tell who I’m cheering for in the Big Game?):

These buffalo chicken salad bites from Meatloaf and Melodrama almost look healthy! They definitely look delicious.

And check out the 14 other game-day recipes from Meatloaf and Melodrama HERE, too! Yum!

(4) Touchdown Treats

A party wouldn’t be complete without some sweet treats. Try these two-ingredient (!!) game day cupcakes from Postcards from the Ridge:

Or milkshakes from The Kim Six Fix:

Fruit-flavor or chocolate – which would you choose? For me, always chocolate!

(5) Gift for the Host

This is a great idea if you are going to someone else’s party: a host/hostess gift idea from Polished Habitat:

Now you are officially ready for the Big Game on Sunday! Which team are you cheering for? I’ll be cheering for the Broncos…and some fun commercials!

Have a great weekend, y’all!
