Today, was, well, challenging. Hank Dog spent half the day puking. I spent an equivalent amount of time cleaning it up. It is 9:30 pm as I’m writing this and D just went to bed after soccer and homework. He was stressed about getting his homework done, and I had to talk him down. He’s EIGHT. I have mounds of papers to grade.
And yet…
I can’t help but be grateful.
I am grateful that we have a beautiful home in which my dogs can puke.
I am grateful that I have two beautiful dogs and that only one of them spent half the day puking in our beautiful home today.
I am grateful that my son, who was stressed about his homework, didn’t puke.
I am grateful that I have two beautiful, healthy, smart, hilarious children.
And this, therefore, seems like the perfect time to announce the 2013 Edition of Thirty Days of Gratitude.
I started the Thirty Days of Gratitude Project two years ago, but last year, it moved officially to Dogs Don’t Eat Pizza. Here is the original post, explaining the project.
Every day in November, I will post about something for which I am grateful, whether to the blog, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Pinterest. So, please follow me in all those places and follow along.
And you should join me! Grab a button and post with me!
