Today, I thought I’d let the dogs take over the blog and write a review of our experience with chewy.com. Now, before you sigh and click over to Facebook or Twitter because this is a product review, lemme explain why the dogs (and I, as their translator and writer with opposable thumbs) are writing this review:
We would never write a review of a product or service we didn’t use and believe in. In other words, the dogs are not in this for the money. That said, they did receive product in exchange for writing this post. Chewy.com sent them a squeaky toy and this bag of Merrick Kitchen Bites treats.
First, what is chewy.com?
It’s a website from which you can order dog and cat food and treats and have them shipped directly to you.
Why is chewy.com different?
1. They are all pet lovers and/or pet parents. They founded chewy.com with the idea that they wanted pet food and treats and toys easy to find and get.
2. Free 1-2-day shipping with orders over $49. Need I say more?
3. A great selection of natural treats and foods.
And this is where Hank is going to take over.
You see, Hank is, well, special. He’s allergic to almost all grains and peanuts, so most dog foods and treats are off-limits to him. In fact, when chewy.com asked me to write this review, I explained that I wasn’t sure I could, given Hank’s dietary restrictions.
They sent me these turducken treats from Merrick, which are grain- and gluten-free. They are organic, all-natural treats with meat, fruits, and vegetables as the ingredients. No rice, flour, or wheat in them.
The proof is in the dog treat, as they say.
He loved them. And he doesn’t really love food or treats. But he LOVED these. Like begging for more loved them.
Chewy.com sent the dogs a squeaky toy, too – a cute little hippo – but they were not interested once they tasted the turducken treats.
Bear wants to chime in now: She says she loves the folks at chewy.com because, when she was really sick with pancreatitis, they sent her a care package of squeaky toys! How awesome is that?? She loved it (and so did her very worried mama).
I like chewy.com because I can order the dogs’ food online and not have to schlep it home from the pet store.
The price is cheaper or comparable to what the closest pet store charges, but, because I have to get two bags (with two dogs, it’s a must), it’s much easier to have someone bring it to me! And I get free shipping! Can’t beat having two 24-lb. bags of dog food delivered right to your door for nothing!
Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!
The dogs saw a squirrel outside. Anyhoo…
They give two paws way up to the treats and toy from chewy.com and want you to try it! They say that, even if you aren’t a pet owner, you can always go to the site and send them toys and treats.
HEY! Wait a second!
OK, they’re kidding. Sort of. Anyway, tell them Bear and Hank sent ya’.
I am part of the chewy.com blogger program and was sent product to review for this post. My – and my dogs’ – opinions are 100% our own, word of honor. Would those faces lie??
Thanks for stopping by!
I love Chewy.com! They beat the big chain pet store prices and it’s waiting for me at my front door! Score!
Yay! Isn’t that the best?!?
This is one of the articles that will be very helpful to all pet owners. Sharing your reviews for products that are good for our furry friends is the best thing you can do as a pet owner. It’s like helping those people who share the same interest as yours.
Thank you!
