I’m Just Being Shelfish

November 11, 2013 By Karen Cooper Leave a Comment

It’s almost Thanksgiving and that means guests are coming to visit! This year, we are hosting Thanksgiving. So, I’m working on some projects to make our home guest-ready.

I started with our guest bath.

I had bought the shelves on the left a while ago – almost a year ago, in fact. I never got around to hanging them.

Here’s the before:

There’s really not much storage in this bathroom and the out-of-date vanity takes over the room.

Adding the shelves added some balance to that wall – balancing out the stark white vanity.

Plus it provides some much needed storage for essentials.

The shelves were easy to install; they had a cleat on the back, so I just had to screw the other part of the cleat to the wall and attach the shelf.

Slowly, but surely, we are getting ready for our guests. There’s a long list, but I’m checking things off when I can.

Are you hosting guests during the holidays? What are you doing to prepare?
