Just One Thing: A New Series to Inspire

January 28, 2016 By Karen Cooper Leave a Comment

There is a LOT going on at my house right now.

Fixing the damage from the leak (and all the related communication to get that done).

Waterproofing the basement.

Laundry. Laundry. Laundry.

Sick kids.

Computers crashing.

Kids’ activities.

Parents’ activities.

You get the idea.

And I’ve noticed that I am not alone in this. I’ve noticed that many of my friends are struggling with all the stuff going on in their lives, too.

It’s hard to be creative… it’s hard to get things done…when there is so much stuff going on. Am I right?

With everything going on, I pledged to myself that if I could just get ONE THING on my to-do list done, I would feel better about everything.

Just one thing.

And it doesn’t have to be a big thing.

Like doing a load of laundry is one thing.

This is actually what part of my laundry room looks like now. (I left out the pile of clothes on the floor in this picture. You’re welcome.)

Calling a friend is one thing.

Cleaning one room is one thing.

Going to the store is one thing.

You get the idea.

Just do one thing.

Today, I’m starting a series called, as you might have guessed by now, “Just One Thing.” I’m going to post a picture to Instagram each Thursday with my Just One Thing.

Follow me on Instagram and add your own pictures of your Just One Thing. That way, we’ll inspire each other! Tag it with the hashtag #JustOneThing. Easy peasy.

Let’s do this!

Just one thing at a time, though. #JustOneThing
