You know, some women pamper themselves with a trip to the spa.
Others get a massage or pedicure.
Me? I hire painters…
Seriously, y’all…this is living the good life.
Normally, I do all the painting around here. But after I hurt my ankle, all painting projects around here stopped. I still am shaky going up ladders, so I knew I couldn’t get the painting done.
I was starting to get anxious about how I had started the guest bath project and it was still undone. The paint swatches were still on the walls, as were the pencil sketches of board and batten. I wanted the guest bathroom project finished and, while I was hiring painters anyway, I figured they could do the other lingering paint projects: my kitchen ceiling, the dining room, the kids hallway, and the breakfast room.
I’ll give you all the details on the paint colors and everything once it’s finished. But it’s awesome. It’s making me so, so happy.
And, while we’re on the subject of pampering, how about a day to yourself? One where you can shop, eat good food, even try out for Flea Market Flip???
What?!?
The Country Living Fair is coming back to Atlanta, October 21-23, 2016, at Stone Mountain Park! And I am giving away tickets!
The Country Living Fair is one of my favorite festivals in Atlanta! Usually the weather is cool and lovely, and there is great shopping, delicious food, and interesting speakers and demonstrations. This year, the speakers include Amie and Jolie Sikes, The Junk Gypsies, launching their new book; Cari Cucksey (from HGTV’s Cash & Cari); Denise Sabia (from The Painted Home blog); and more! And you can audition for Flea Market Flip!
It’s a great way to spend a day just for YOU!
Oh, and a friend, too!
I’m giving away two tickets to the 2016 Country Living Fair in Atlanta for one lucky winner! Just leave a comment below and I will choose one winner at random from all the entries.
The winner will receive two complimentary Early Bird Weekend Passes to the fair. The tickets are only good for the Atlanta Country Living Fair, and only cover admission to the fair. Parking, food, travel, and other fees and charges are not included in the prize.
The winner will be chosen and announced THIS FRIDAY, October 14.
Trust me: this is a fun event that you don’t want to miss!
This post is sponsored by the Country Living Fair, which provided me with tickets for the giveaway and for me. The Country Living Fair is sponsored by Go RVing, Great American Country – Flea Market Flip, Jelly Belly, and Wagner, and is produced by Stella Show Management Company. Love the Country Living Fair.
Me, too! My yearly corn dog + homemade lemonade! Plus so much fun shopping!
My downfall are the redneck egg rolls!
Oh my goodness I’d love to go to the Country Living Fair. I live about an hour and a half outside of Atlanta…….it would be like a kid in a candy shop!
Oh and I’m eagerly awaiting your professional paint project reveal.
So fun! Thanks for entering! I’ll post photos soon – once I clean up the mess!
I look forward to the Country Living Fair ALL. YEAR. LONG! lol! It’s such a great day! And this year I hear they’re are doing auditions for the Flea Market Flip, which I love! I don’t think I’ll be doing any auditions though….I’m pretty sure I would freeze up when it came time to be creative. 🙂
Me, too! But I’m going to try not to freak out and try out! Fingers crossed!
I am so excited that this year, my workload is allowing me to go ~ or maybe I should say “lack of workload.” There is just no reason why I can’t go this year! YAY! I just had a closing and new clients will not be closing for a while.
Hope to see you there !!!
Sounds great! I’ll be there!
I don’t want to take up too much of your time but sooo glad you traded in your suits for power tools and DIY. We have a Habitat Women Build here and it is so empowering to build homes with Women Only. As men are not onsite, and don’t get all the power tools, we learn so much. I now have a garage full of power tools, so much so, that with our new house plans or should I say Metal Barn plans, my husband would not agree to me Not having a separate shop ~ he has warned “No tools in the garage!”
See you there ~ now get to work 🙂 G
First of all, take up my time! Don’t be silly! Second, that is AWESOME! I love that!! When we moved to this house, Dear Husband and I agreed that the shed would be my workshop/tool storage! I think that the first time I was exposed to power tools was on a Habitat build. Such a great organization. Thank you for sharing that!! kbc
I would love to go to the Country Living Fair,
My mom subscribes to the magazine and has always wanted to go this would be an awesome mother daughter outing!
I agree! That would be so fun!
