Pinterest Challenge – the coolest mixer ever

July 11, 2012 By Karen Cooper 2 Comments

I had pinned this idea a while ago – I loved it.  I love graphics and typography and black/white contrast, so this was right up my alley.  I hadn’t had time to do the project yet, but I yearned to do it and thought about it every time I saw my plain, white mixer.

Then I saw the Pinterest Challenge from Young House Love and decided to finally do the project.
Here’s the finished product:

I didn’t use vinyl sheets like the original Pinterest one did, because I didn’t have them and it seemed like a lot of work without a machine to make the letters and words.  Instead, I used black labels I already had in various fonts.
I love how it turned out!  The only thing I would do differently, were I to do it again, is not to use the all caps labels because they were thicker and didn’t stick as well as the decals.
The labels and decals, FYI, all came from Michael’s.
I can’t wait to use it when we have our new kitchen!

Thank you! It was fun to do. My kids wondered why they didn’t get to stick the stickers on it.:)
