Welcome to the First Finish It Friday!

August 24, 2012 By Karen Cooper 1 Comment

Happy Friday, y’all!  Woot!

In honor of Friday and finishing our kitchen (knock wood), I am starting a new feature here at Dogs Don’t Eat Pizza:  Finish It Friday.

Every Friday, I will tell you about a project – probably one that I should have finished a long time ago – that I am going to finish that day.  It might be a big project like painting a room or something smaller like an art project.  Either way, it gets done on Friday.

For my first Finish It Friday project, I am going to finish painting our entry hall.  It’s half-painted now (above the chair rail/molding on the far wall), but the rest of it needs to be done.  I am also going to spray paint the hardware for the banister, which is an ugly tarnished brass.

Here is what the blah, boring, beige entryway looks like now:

I want to paint it a crisp white, to make it seem less drab.  Hopefully a little paint will perk things up a bit.

I’ll let you know how it goes and whether I finish.  Fingers crossed!

As always, thank you for stopping by.

Love your Finish It Friday idea. I think I’ll do the same and see if I can get my projects finished. My list is oh, so long, and never gets completed, but then, I keep adding to it, as we all do. BTW, I love your “Dogs don’t eat pizza” name. Since you have dogs, I know you know that’s not true. 🙂 I always save the bread edges from a pizza for my dogs, altho they’d love to eat the whole pizza.
